The Appeals process is challenging. It requires you to present a case to three trained panelists to convince them that your child should be granted a place in a school which has stated that it is unable to accommodate them. It’s vital that you present a strong case, as there is only one chance.
You must able to demonstrate that accepting your child will not prejudice the education of the rest of the year group, whilst making a significant and positive difference for your own child.

Professional expertise to help you present your strongest case
Appealing a school place is a complex area of life which parents only navigate rarely, perhaps only for admission to secondary school. It’s an emotional time when guidance and support from a specialist can make the difference between winning or losing your case.
We’re ready to help you to prepare your strongest Appeal. Our involvement can be as much or as little as you prefer. From research and advice, to writing the case, to being present alongside you helping at the Appeal hearing, it’s up to you.
Take your place
Most parents (90+%) have asked me to work with them through the entire Appeals process, which culminates in me being present at the Appeal hearing. But, I do offer various levels of help, outlined on the prices page.
Whichever level of support you choose, I am always available 7 days a week (something I know that parents have found invaluable).
By asking Appeal My Place to write and present your Appeal, you will benefit from an excellent responsive service and a thorough knowledge of the Schools Admissions Code, substantially increasing your likelihood of securing a place for your child.

You have a legal right to challenge a school if it refuses your child a place, or if the Local Authority offers you a school that may not be your or your child’s preferred choice. There is plenty of research to undertake and there will be many questions to ask of the school and the local authority to put together a robust and strategic Appeal case. When you haven’t done this before it can be daunting, but I can help you every step of the way and you won’t need to face the worry and challenge alone.
The Appeal can take place either by video or in person. I am happy to accommodate either and have attended Appeals most recently in the North and South of England. Distance is not an issue; my job is to support you.
